Nigerians Have The Right To Search Policemen - NPF

Police officers can be searched by Nigerians according to information released by Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba. Police PRO, Frank Mba The Nigeria Police Force says Nigerians have the right to search its men in select circumstances, a report by Punch has revealed. The Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, said this in a statement on Monday titled, ‘(Part 2) Tips For Safe And Cordial Conduct During An Arrest.’ The Police said if an officer is about to search a citizen or a property, that citizen has the right to first search the policeman in order to ensure that no evidence is planted. According to the NPF, Nigerians also have the right to demand to know the reason for their arrest whenever an arrest is about to be made. 15-Year-Old Boy From Imo Emerges Best Student In 2019 UTME, But May Lose Admission Over Age

 A 15-year-old boy, Ekele Franklin, from Imo has emerged the overall best candidate in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME), conducted between April 11 and April 15.   Franklin, who made University of Lagos his first choice, scored 347 and may not be admitted because of his age.   Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), disclosed this at a news conference to announce the release of the results in Abuja on Saturday.   Emmanuel Chidebube, a 16-year-old boy from Abia came second with a score of 346, while Isaac Olamide, a 17-year-old from Osun came third with 345.   In all 2,906 candidates scored over 300 as against 4,683 in 2018.   Statistics   According to Mr Oloyede, 57,579 candidates scored between 250 and 299 as against 64,120 in the 2018 results.   Mr Oloyede said 366,757 candidates also scored between 200 and 249, which is a significant improvement f...

Despite losing lots of money to MMM, Nigerians have now fallen for yet another ponzi scheme called Loom.  Barely a few years after Mavrodi Mundial Moneybox (MMM), a popular ponzi scheme, crashed in Nigeria, “Loom”, a similar money-making scheme, is fast catching up among Nigerians. “Loom Money Nigeria” is a peer-to-peer pyramid scheme that follows the same pattern as the collapsed MMM. Organisers of the ponzi scheme have asked people to invest as low as N1000 or N13,000 and get as much as eight times the value of the investment before 48 hours. A High Court in Benin on Thursday, sentenced a housewife Eniobong Isonguyo and her pastor lover, Udoka Ukachukwu, to death for the murder of her husband, Engr. Victor Gabriel Isonguyo, a staff of Nigerian National Petroleum Company NNPC, Benin, Edo State in 2013. During the trial, the prosecuting counsel told Court, that the murder of the deceased was carried out by the convicts so as to cover up the pregnancy accusation by the deceased while he was away. “The deceased’s wife told the pastor to wait on the route of her husband to work and ask him for a ride. The plan paid off as the man eventually stopped and gave the pastor a ride along sapele road Benin.
